Hey there! AIML Club is the newest subclub under SCDS, and we're all about bringing together students who love (or want to learn about) Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Whether you're a complete beginner curious about what AI can do, or you're already training models and competing in Kaggle competitions, there's a place for you here!

Club Activities & Initiatives​

🎯 CACTUS​

CCDS AI Competition Team for Undergraduate Students (CACTUS) is a platform designed to help students excel in AI competitions. It is a collaboration between SCDS Academics and AIML Club.

What we offer:

  • Mentorship from professors and industry professionals
  • Access to compute resources (because training models can be costly!)
  • Channels for team recruitment and community discussions

Recent Competitions:

  • NUS Guru Competition
    Our members participated and received Claude API credits to support their experiments.
  • NAISC TikTok Track
    We supported a team by covering GPU rental costs for model training.
  • NAISC AWS Track (LLM League)
    One member competed solo and was mentored by a PhD student from NTU's Speech and Language Lab (under Prof. Chng Eng Siong)—a mentor with 5 years at AWS and current LLM research experience.

🖥️ HPC x AIML Workshop​

We ran a workshop on 3 April 2025 to teach people how to use NSCC for training models. Super useful if you want to scale up your projects without breaking the bank.
